Hi Kelli! Didn't know you were on here too. Anyway, I second her
description, and say that for the most part it's not so much intelligent
dance music as intelligent swoon music. Not very St. Etienne like, to
take up a question from the original poster, but One Dove's atmospherics
do present something of a parallel. My two favorite releases by them are
the "Slowdive" and "Holding Our Breath" EPs; "Avalyn II", on the former,
is in my mind the ultimate guitar/ambient track.
