I'm pretty happy with Stanton 720's- a place in Chinatown here (NYC)
charged only $90 for two of them, which according to all recommendations
was about half what I should have paid for them. That was while buying
two 1200's, but they were grey market for $325, so it wasn't like they
were making massive profit on the tables so that they reduced the
cartridge price.
Regardless, the sound is really clean and responsive, and I'd recommend
the 720 to anybody.
