Tanya Pea's (that's me!) Handcut Icecubes 12" EP with remixes by Phil
Western and JJWax is out now. Every record is hand-stamped, by us - The
Record Company, usually between the hours of midnight and 4am after long
sessions of music making and live show playing, while engaged in intense
creative and philosophical debates that have included but have not been
limited to Syd Barrett, bad emo, Guided By Voices, out of body experiences,
idealism, commercialism, ethics, and well... one evening we'll have to
record our random ramblings... Anyways, Tanya Pea's 12" EP was inspired by
moments of trapped air in blocks of ice chipped by picks in 20 max cap bars
in Osaka, and was realized after enough encounters with thieves, liars,
hypocrites and bastards. It sounds something like 3 accomplished artists
who have roots in IDM, techno, electro, punk and industrial, and we've only
pressed 500, so get on it!
