Yeah, I've been listening to this over the past week or so, and they definitely still have it. I'm not sure if it's as strong as Our Lives on Wednesdays, but I probably just haven't concentrated on it enough. Or maybe it's just not as good. I guess that could happen. Speaking of some nice hybrid acoustic/electronics, I seem to remember everyone going all gaga over Helios's album on Merck a couple years back. While I thought it was on the better side of OK, his new album on Type, Eingya, is pretty outstanding. He's almost full-on acoustic on this one, save for the beats, with guitars and some lovely piano. This is an album over which I would go gaga. It reminds me of elements of Mogwai, Labradford, and some Sigur Ros, while still having it's own sound. So yeah. That's all.
