I'd be there, if in NYC on Saturday the 22nd. Hit 'em up with your Alarm Will Sound/Aphex Twin remixes! http://www.discogs.com/release/508694 For those not familiar with Dennis DeSantis' work: http://www.discogs.com/release/44005 "Dennis DeSantis, with his debut album CLOCK WISE, takes the elements of techno and infuses them with careful musical precision. There's a attention to musicality here, and it stands out from the very beginning, with the overlapping melodic lines in "Promotion of Vice" or the deep and satisfying bass of "Tendril." Likewise, "Under the Wire" pulses with vibrant energy, while "Thin Air" diffuses that energy into the atmosphere. For something a little more funky, "Braining" has a fascinating patch that sounds like a disconnected telephone; I'm reminded in a good way of former Warp stalwarts B12. "Hiatus" and "Priority" are more straight-up Detroit techno numbers, and "Shifted" throws in some more intense percussion that gives way to the smooth synths. The final track, "Remote Viewing" is a bit more ambient. This is techno as it should be."
