The new Mp3's are a day late but up on the Madrid Homenaje website: www.110304.com.es Last month you had the chance to grab mp3's from the following artists: Difra, Leafcutter John, Jansky Noise and Arc Gotic. This month, we are singing in Madrid with 3 tracks from the album which are all unquestionably electronic yet they all contain vocals.. We kept the Leafcutter John - Lesson track up on the site. Because when all considered it's an awesome dedication which really showcases him as a talent to be reckoned with, as far as I am concerned he is more than able to make music on par with Ae, and deliver a much needed advance in terms of the sterile, typical, no physical movement you get from a laptop performance. Leafcutter is rich, try his Lesson, an outstanding composition. Additional tracks by: Makunouchi Bento - Living in Movie Screens (Voice © The Me Band) angular, headstrong electronics, take the early Skam blueprint, distort it a little, and add a vocal. I actually picked the track because for me it's rare to find a combo like this with a vocal that really works, normally vocals are absent or just simply not required. As for the beats, they are Jega esk, or primitive V/Snares, again another quality contribution for our CD/Album, and a rare find! Rec_Overflow - No Olvides Esto He hails from Madrid, he makes sliced serrano IDM electronics, this track is the third for me to present and also contains a scrambled vocal, which is comparable or not unlike something Gescom did on their first Keynell 12". The track is slow wet, acidic and dreamy, probably loved and hated by as many of you who care to try! More mp3's up in May. www.110304.com.es By the way if you are a Radio DJ on the list, please contact me direct as we would like to present to you our CD, and more mp3's.. Andy Macgregor
