man, you need to find another dealer.
you buying a bag (1/8) of the best weed for 66 dollars?
this analord release.. it's weird, cause you're not really paying for the
music, you're paying for the leather bound binder with an aphex logo on it.
and I'm quite sure this is going to have some resale value, so it's not
money down the drain. you can turn around and sell it on ebay at any time
for probably just as much as you bought it for. regardless, I bought it for
two reasons. I'm a big aphex fan and I collect unusual/rare records.
it was like the same arguemnt that was on the idm list about 7 or 8 years
ago..
a record came out by Matt Winch called "he can't play tonite"
the record sleeve was all white, no writing or graphics.
the 12" itself was blank, totally blank on both sides.
the label on the 12" was a picture of a sign that said "matt is feeling ill,
and will not be performing tonight".
along with the 12" was a letter sized piece of paper that was the music
written out in traditional notation. and that's it.
blank 12", totally glossy, no music, music written on paper, etc..
great fucking concept, and I am more than happy to say that I own this, and
loved the idea. but then for every one person like me, you probably got 10
complaining "this is too damn quiet sounding!" or "I was ripped off!! I want
my money back!"
regardless.
fuck idm.
let's art.
