I went to a Sonic Youth show recently, and Wolf Eyes opened for them.
They're industrial/dark ambient. I was trying to get into their music, but it
wasn't doing anything for me. At one point I started to feel terrible, like I
needed to throw up and my head was spinning. I felt so bad I had to sit down, and
the only thing I can attribute it to is the music. As soon as the song was
over I felt better. This thread just reminded me of it...the end :)

i don't think this is so much a disagreement as an exception. you
were 8. of course you're going to be scared by stuff as a kid. i'm
talking about adults. grown men and women saying this song or
that band is so dark or so scary - i just don't get it.
