Fans of Detroit techno should check out the new Future Beat Alliance "Lumiere Ep" on Versatile. The track "Fake Love" sounds a little inspired by Carl Craig. Top notch wax!
Has anyone picked up the new I:Cube album? I was curious what it was like.
Another 12" with Detroit sensibilities is Fabrice Lig's "Los Picaros". It's part detroit/part brazilian. Smashing tune! Another brilliant detroit/brazil tune is John Arnold's "Respectall" Essential!!

i may have mentioned this before, but its really good, and actually out now. they definitely aren't a "genre" band, but they do a blinding blend of a post-rock and idm. soundwise they touch on alot of things, from very hushed to more frenetic. they should appeal to kids on this list who also dig GSYBE!, Mogwai etc...
