I've seen some people absolutely rock it with a lap-top and I've seen some
people fail miserably with a large band. Artists just need to think about
how their presenting their material and look for the appropriate space to
present in. If you're boring to watch then put together some good visuals to
compliment the experience, or pay attention to enviroment and present it in
a non-club space. One of my favorite experimental performers is Franciso
Lopez. Each time I've seen him the audience has been blind-folded and made
to sit down. Makes for an amazing listening experience. I'm sure he's boring
as hell to watch. I can't deal with people who put no effort into
performance.
