Thought you'd all be into this: SIRIUS IS SERIOUS ABOUT RADIO PURITY: Satellite Radio programmer gives the industry a piece of its mind. (Feb. 26, 2003) *Sirius Satellite Radio is about to give the industry a verbal pimp smack regarding the way radio hypes folks with the same old sound. Sirius began distributing a statement that calls out the industry for suspect deeds. The tabloid-sized document went to music executives by way of some guerilla marketers at Sunday's Grammy show, says the Hollywood Reporter. Plans also call for some of the 11 million manifestos that have been published to be mailed to industry executives with a "to whom it may concern" letter attached that reads, in part, "It's time to play music uncompromised by money, politics or corporate agendas. ... Those that stand in the way of music, always lose." http://www.eurweb.com/articles/headlines/02262003/headlines897902262003. cfm --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
