It just dawned on me.
The sound samples I hear cut/pasted into J. Pappe's "How Great Thou Art"
(Kompakt Total 1) which are so familiar are from David Bowie's "The Beauty
and the Beast" (from "Heroes"). Or at least they sound like it immensely.
