Ebay is a crap shoot, so there are really no medians to expect, logically. One day you can snatch an item for a LOW start bid (provided the seller isn't using a high reserve), the next you might pay through the nose. A lot depends on who sees what, when the item(s) are ending and whole pile of other factors aside from the always present "ifs" involving item age, condition, numbers pressed and demand for it. There's one up right now in the UK at 16 gbp, but it has 6 hours until the auction ends. The last 3 seconds are what really tells the story - as most seasoned ebayers will testify. The prevalence of sniping software out there is further adding to that trend. Here's the link for the one I mentioned above if you want to follow it http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=926060587 I guess I would be leery of using one auction to estimate demand and all of the variegated factors which contribute to an item's final price. If you check GEMM, you'll see some really vast ranges - many of them exorbitantly high (imo). http://wk1.gemm.com/c/search.pl?sid=302064523&key=3452&disp_ad_format_mode=0&artist=JEDI+KNIGHTS&title=MAY+THE+FUNK+BE+WITH+YOU Bottom line : what's it worth to YOU and the seller/buyer? (personally, NO record is worth all o' dat - but if you have the cash and really want it that bad, more power to you and PLEASE bid on my auctions! My prices are far more reasonable :-) jeff --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
