I did the same thing with amb2 except on Columbia House and I toke to it
a little faster. It was weird listening to at first. I couldn't tell if
it was BLEH or YAY! Until I listened to it many times, then it was <3.

I was 14 or so and had signed up for what I believe was a BMG thing.
Don't
worry, I only bought CD's when they were "buy 1 get 2 free" :)
Anyway, in one of the wonderful catalogs, they had a little blurb for
Aphex
Twin's "selected ambient works 2" and I thought "hey, that sounds
interesting." It was a 2xcd, so I put it down for 2 slots.
And they sent me 2 of them :) Apparently they didn't listen to much
aphex
twin...
Anyway, so I listened to it and didn't like it. But I came back to it
about 2 years later and was intrigued more. When I found out that other
Aphex Twin songs had percussion, I was very intrigued. So I picked up
"I
care because you do" and the rest is history. Recent history, but oh
well.
