The Fennesz / While split ep on Fat Cat, which was mentioned in an earlier
thread... a really nice set of clicks, drones, hums and suggestions of
melody. It also has quite a nice range of moods and feels, albeit within the
usual boundaries of the style - there's rather little bouncy energy or
righteous anger.
Also, though it isn't really IDM, the Programme 7", also on Fat Cat, is
lovely. Sort of garagey post rock, shouted in french.
Also DJ Hell's Suicide Commando, which is pretty old but rather superb. I've
spent years trying to find more records that sound like this - does anyone
have any ideas?
