'Office Space' was great, BTW.
1. Carl Craig is god, and anything he does is stellar. Check out the
Innerzone Orchestra album, his work under his own name, and Paperclip
People.
2. Tatsuhiko Asano's 'Genny Haniver' on Geist. Put it on repeat, drink tawny
port, and read(?) 'When I am King' by Demian5 at www.demian5.com.
3. Kid606's 'The Action Packed Mentalist brings you the Fucking Jams' on
Violent Turd. Released in New Zealand to avoid being crucified by the RIAA
and associated label jerks. High larryus.
4. You probably already know about the Boredoms.
5. Bisk's 'Moonstruck Parade' keeps getting better.
6. Miss Kittin & The Hacker do some decent work.
7. The Midwest Product album when it comes out.
That's really all that's been floating my boat electronicwise for the past
few months. Before that I was enjoying Spacer's latest album 'The Beamer'
and Khan's 'No Comprendo' plus of course any and just about all by the
following innoparticularorder:
Spring Heel Jack - too smart to be drum and bass
Kirlian - too good to be techno
Si Begg - Look ma, I cross genre boundaries, no hands, tongue in cheek
Detroit Grand Pubahs - funnier than DJ Assault
Tosca - german chocolate ganja lounge
Cristian Vogel - lives with insect robots
Ken Ishii - japanese people make the best mass transit tunes
Speedy J - lives in a metal pipe with his insect robots
Savvas Ysatis - I dunno, sexy refridgerators maybe
Electric Company - double-jointed noisyness
Just a few suggestions.
Tom
