Get it. A good chunk of the reviews/discographies are actually written by John Bush who's a member of this list (or used to be anyway). Covers a lot of ground, most of which you'll probably find relevant. Even mentions non-electronica acts such as Godspeed You Black Emperor! My only problem with it is that many of the reviews are a bit too glowing. The guys who wrote it obviously love the music, but I would have prefered the reviews to be a bit more critical. While we're on the subject of books, I'm in the middle of reading Jeff Noon's lastest Needle In The Groove. Deserves a mention on this list not only because he gives credit to Pole, Plastikman and Sonic Youth Research, but I think quite a lot of people find it interesting. Takes a new slant on the cut-up technique by 'remixing' previous chapters. Also funny are some of the place names in his version of Manchester, State 808 Place being one that springs to mind :-) Glenn --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
