i just listened to the new plaid ep today on cd...and although it
is nice enough, it seems as though it lacks the funk that makes
plaid stand out to me as better than other laptop jockeys.
there may be a driving beat, but without the funkiness, it's
kind of boring to me.
on the other hand, i've really been enjoying cloinc's 'lonely bits'
album...lots of fun and funk, as well as gorgeous melodies...if i
had to change anything, i'd ask for fewer sampled voices, but other
than that, i love it.
thinking about that made me go and put on 'balloon', another andre
estermann project. mmmm.
