he is credited with bringing back cut-up method after its initial
introduction during the early 20th c, I believe by members of
surrealist movement
he friend and coconspirator, Wm Burroughs is best known for its use
by Psychic TV and B Laswell, let alone ColdCut were not far behind
and quite aware of the method and its influence
