his music suck 99%, the only good track he made,
at least partially good- Red Shoes.
Actually it is a common knoweledge among critics
that his recordings are not of a high level-
you can check even smth so mainstreamish as
allmusic.com.
My experience with listening to his muzac is
rather less rewarding then allmusic opinion.
To me he was a great marketer, who parazited on
his gay affairs and on the fact that almost
anyone with brains and somewhat musical abilities
could ve make it in times when r-n-roll just
emerged.
It is like bill-$-gates deal to buy
DirtyOperation-System known as DOS for $15000 and
selling it to IBM ...
So, Bowie fame is a matter of him being too long
in a spot light and jumping there up and down
with his naked ass shining
my opinion - he stinks
