I've reported this to the Ebay police: Some fucker is trying to sell the Autechre at Coachella soundboard recodings with a fake cover... Anyone remember the poor lonely chap who posted here a year and a half ago (or so?) stating that he was the one responsible for the bootlegs, why he did it etc.? Who'd have thought it would make it all the way - full circle? You think this guy selling the bootlegs on Ebay is aware of this lonely kid that first released these MP3's to the world and announced it here on the list? Boy - that was sure an odd set of posts... I wonder if I could sort through my backups and find 'em somewhere (I know I kept the Black Dog versus Plaid posts - Now *those* were darn interesting - BD threatening to sue if Trainer came out and explaining why these classics didn't deserve a compiled re-release...) Here's what I wrote: The item listed here is a bootleg. The person selling this item downloaded the illegal MP3's floating around the net, created a fake cover in Adobe Photoshop and actually has the *nerve* to offer it for $25 via "Buy it Now". This item is not available in stores, has not been released by the artist and is a shameless attempt to profit by selling a misleading item. I would provide the link so you all could see what I'm talking about but then I think that inadvertently I might be actual directing business to this person. I could imagine someone here could give a fuck and wants the music so they'll buy it anyways... Anyhow, just doin' my part. Everyone draws the line with pirated music and software somewhere...
