things i downloaded from soulseek that i thought i would be impressed
with and was:
1) aphex - drukqs (not ground-breaking, but solid and mature)
2) bjork - vespertine (understated in a good way)
3) mr projectile - pug times (glitchy melodic stuff)
4) hermann + klein - transalpin ep (i will buy anything these guys release
for the rest of my life)
5) telefon tel aviv - farenheit fair enough (not totally sure about this
one yet, but it's growing on me - sounds like tortoise meets gimmik
without the distortion pedals)
things i downloaded from soulseek that i thought i would be impressed
with and wasn't:
1) other people place (zzzzzz...)
2) twerk - now i'm rendered useless (like if mouse on mars wasn't good)
things i *think* i would like if i could find more than one track:
1) zorn - the city's collapsing but not tonight
things that are old, but new to me, and good:
1) cylob - cylobian sunset (has the term "re-lec-tro" been coined yet?)
2) speedy j - g spot (but not as awe-inspiring as ginger)
best band on earth:
1) phish (they're even - get this - sorta idm at times if you'd open your
ears)
mind-boggling thought for the day:
1) kelly's posts are about 3000% more relevant than posts *bitching*
about kelly's posts.
