Same sorts thing happened to me...
I went skiing at Mt. Hood, Oregon a couple of years ago and stayed at the
Timberline Lodge, which is the Hotel they used for the exterior shots of the
hotel in the Shining (The Overlook). I expected some sort of
acknowledgement- maybe a "I survived the Overlook" bumperstickers or a
plaque on the wall. But nothing. Worst part- they cut down the hedge maze.
I heard they're making a Tron sequel. I really hope they steer clear of the
usual high energy rave-y techno soundtrack.
