Just a quick reply about tracking and bogdan's new EP
- I don't know how he made it, but at
bogdanraczynski.com, it says "...accordian, trumpet,
flute and other instruments, this is Bogdan's first
live-recording." This almost implies that he didn't
do it with a tracker, that it's really "live". But
actually it could just have been done "live" with a
tracker. What do I know; not much, that's for sure :)
I do know that on some of the accordian-sounding
parts, it sorta sounds like you can hear the
keypresses as the accordian is being played, but maybe
there's just a keypress sound in the sample he was
using.
I would also like to report, on a related topic, that
I have nothing against any folk music, polish or
otherwise. My review wasn't intended to put down a
genre that I'm not into; rather I was just trying to
say that I didn't think Bogdan brought anything
amazing or new to the world with the EP. It's a
radical change for him, but in the grander scheme of
things it's just blah. IMHO, of course.
