not kosher replying to my own review, but a couple
more thoughts occured:
first, I liked md's previous album more - maybe it
just wasn't trying as hard, or maybe it's just
simpler, but it seems more accessible and enjoyable.
second, the included demo "videos" on Between Gaps
were really cool! Actually, the demos themselves were
kind of ho-hum, but I remember back in the day, in
high school on the old 486 we had, trying out these PC
graphix demos done by various 1337 hax0r groops - you
know what I mean? Those 3D ish morphing gemotrical
shapes and clouds and things, they were so awesome at
the time, and now they're less interesting than Doom
:P
Anyways, props to whoever is still making DOS grafix
demos for fun, cuz the ones on MD's Between Gaps
definitely brought back some nostalgic memories.
Maybe that's what the album is good for...
