up! I can't really speak for anyone but myself, but I think you missed the point. It's not that "old music is better" - not at all. This isn't another "I'm losing interest in new IDM" thread. This, for me, is about how I choose to listen to music, and about dealing with the sheer quantity of stuff I find available. It's not like there's suddenly a glut of music, although due to electronics there's probably more than there used to be. It's more about the fact that there has always been an ocean of music out there, but when I was a teenager I just wasn't aware of more than my little inlet. I played there and got to know the waters quite intimately. Then I began to discover that the water just kept on going, and I felt that I needed to swim through everything, as if it all deserved my attention. Basically, it's not that the quality of music is going down, it's that I am just not personally as satisfied simply being familiar with a large quantity of music as I am intimately knowing a smaller quantity of music. That's all. -Adam __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Get personalized email addresses from Yahoo!
