ADD N TO (X). Monday, July 16th at Centre Social Espanol, 4848 St-Laurent -

Esot?rik and L'Oblique.
Being an electro-pop-garage group, ADD N TO (X) follow the work of Edgar
Var?se, Kraftwerk, Grandmaster Flash, Bruce Haack et?Leon Theremin. Taking
their name from a computer command that creates a third unknown electronic
force, Barry 7, Ann Shenton and Steve Claydon consider themselves as
"futuristic aggresive". They describe their electronic cacophony as " an
historic and linear progression of music", or if you prefer, "Avant-Hard".
With 4 albums and a good amount of singles under their arm, those
supersonic mercenaries are keeping their machines really hot! They promise
to shake us with random, sporadic and violent sounds that clash with
melodies, and will push the boundaries of rock 'n' roll.
And Like Barry 7 would say... : "There is no past and there is no future,
it's just what happens when you turn the machine on." Speaking of
machines...

The opening act will be provided by Montreal's moog extravaganza,
UNIREVERSE, along with their "post-retro futurism".
