Well, that's OK too. I was into Autechre for a few years since I read an interview with them, then someone said my sound experiements sounded kinda Aphex Twin so I bought an Aphex Twin CD. Then I was reading Sound on Sound and they had an interview with Guy Sigsworth, who does some work for Madonna. He mentioned Oval, and I thought they sounded interesting, and then a month later I saw an issue of Wire with Oval prominently mentioned on the cover and realised that it was a magazine devoted to weird music (I had always thought it was just for jazz aficionados or something). Discovering that experimental/intelligent stuff had a much bigger listener base than I had thought led to me turning up on this list (so now you can blame Madonna if you don't like my posts).
