It seems like any liquid on a paper-like material would spell disaster.
Since fingerprints and such are oil-based, I'd say the only thing you might
do is rub the area with a soft, dry cloth. At best you'd absorb some of the
imprint and maybe buff the rest in as to be less noticeable. Not sure how
much more you might expect.
