ok stuff, gut generally i'd dub om lounge as "girl-friendly".
a genre of dance/electronic that is non-threatening, washy, femal-vocal
including, kind of slow and funky/mellow housey-ambent elements and
genearally a pretty wistful vibe.
now, i'm not saying girls like certain a kind of music, my girlfreind
outrules that theory.
we're just classifying a certain type of female who doesn't buy much music,
and usually listens to it only when they're doing something else(driving,
making the bed, reading, dressing etc). a lot of girls just aren't headz.
the kind that sweat ya out the record shop and stand around bored are the
ones that will be feeling the om lounge series. they play it in the gap for
chrissakes! like st germain tourist. good stuff, harmless and pleasant, and
much better that pop. but still, sometimes one's head may call for more
drastic measures.
