We're going to come out of our gentle slumber soon. Be worried. Heck, the
next record? A 7" featuring Dallas pop greats, Chomsky and the Deathray
Davies. Ew! Guitars! Lyrics! Fun! Icky.
The Proem record? Deleted. We will work on another project together in the
future, and we are all still friends. I pimp his gigs enough to prove that.
It just didn't come together at the time, but that time will happen again
later, with different tunes.
The big news is that I just fixed the big problem with the website - the
audio. It all broke when we moved hosting providers. Fluoroscopic Kid just
sent me a nastygram, so I discovered EditPad has a find and replace
function. It should all be working now. In fact, better than before. That
means those RealAudio files don't just stream anymore. You could... oh,
obtain them. And put them on a Proem fansite. :) And with the Proem record,
grab while you can, I'll probably take those files down in the next update.
Fluoroscopic Kid has a gig coming up in Dallas soon - July 28th. It's a
Saturday night. He'll be playing at the venerable Dallas institution, Bass
and BBQ. You see, we get together, we listen to music, and we have burgers
and hot dogs. And don't worry about it if you're a veggie - FK is. Veggie
burgers and dogs are available, and they are tasty. Big up the vegetarian
massive. I'm not sure if this event is going to be at the Sand Bar in Deep
Ellum. Tentative plans have FK headlining upstairs. Who knows how that
happened. Happy accidents.
FK is working on a new demo CD as a prelude to getting more gigs and
eventually an album - so we'll probably have some new Fluoroscopic Kid MP3s
for you to listen to soon. We may also have some other tricks up our
collective sleeve - I have some ideas for records, but I kinda need to pay
off some of those nasty credit card companies for a bit. But here's a hint -
if I've talked you up on IDM before, I probably wanna do a record with you.
I don't think Bochum Welt quite got that though. Not that he should bother
with labels as small as us. :)
Thanks for reading. As always, feel free to email us. And don't be surprised
if you find I'm plugging another radio appearance soon. Yeehaw. Time for
pie.
