The deal is that "idm" isn't as artist-centered as some other "underground" genres, like industrial. This isn't really a genre that allows someone to just pick an artist and spend 10 years of their life trying to track down a bajillion side projects that all sound just a teeny bit different. It's more about finding new stuff and seeing what sounds you like, rather than what artists.
