So let me see if I've got this right.
Why exactly did Warp open a US office? To in some way coincide the US
releases of their albums with the rest of the world's and thusly trying to
save us fanatics from spending exorbitant amounts of money on imports?
Well, Confield has been out in Japan for a couple weeks now, as well as the
UK. Now we in the states are now seeing it trickle in and priced at about
twice as much as a new cd. I got the vinyl today for 26 bucks. The official
US release date is still a week and a half off I think.
Nice try.
And as long as I'm on the topic-
I don't have anything but a first impression to go on, but the new album
sounds to me really similar to LP5. Not a whole lotta melody or harmony, but
some. Lots of clickity clackety thump thump fizziness. Not at all bad, but I
find myself longing for the old days.
