I've had this 12" since it was first released five years ago. To me all Irdial releases are worth having if you're into quirky techno/house, unique electronica, and avant-experimentalism. Irdial has been doing it all quietly since the early 90s. I have several dozen Irdial releases and always have my eye out for the holes in my Irdial collection. Anyway, regarding the Kinkane 12", I was never aware that Ken Downie had anything to do with this release. The sound of this release certainly doesnt suggest it. This ep has four tracks - two bassy driving techno tracks, one short ambient piece, and one off-kilter downtempo track - none of which sound anything remotely Black Doggish but quality nonetheless. All tracks are good but certainly not 'must have' material. The release is actually on the Co-Lette label which is a sublabel on Irdial in case your into useless info like that... : ) btw: if anybody has an extra copy of Insync's (no the techno insync who's been around since 1990) 'The Storm' 12" or the Blue Binary releases on Irdial please email me privately. -->-Lance---- PO Box 450715 Westlake, OH 44145 United States --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
