in oct '99 it started right around noon and each night ended by midnight,
from what i recall. budget about 2 hours from the time you park your car
until you're able to get into the door and about the same for leaving the
site - unless they've made significant changes to the door flow logistics &
traffic mgmt, respectively. my only complaint about the first coachella.
outside of that, it was spectacular all the way through. ae playing live
was a wonderful surprise (esp given that jega & bola didn't show) as they
were only supposed to dj.
