Hell yes, this album is damn worth the hype and then some. My favorite album to come out in years... (since Chiastic Slide, i guess hmm..)

Not sure about the 12"s but i've a burnt copy of their first album Von and the remix cd that followed. Von is very different than Agaetis, with maybe 4 tracks with discernable vocals. Many of the tracks, including the 10 minute first track titled after the band, are textural ambient and atmospheric pieces, with no "melodies" contained within. Along with these are more traditional "bandesque" songs with drums, guitar and vocals. The album as a whole flows very well, and has some amazing songs to boot. Try and get a hold of it if you can. I'm sure it's hard as hell to find outside of Iceland, since i don't think it's distributed in either Europe or the US (just Iceland). The remix album is kinda lackluster, with some decent tracks and some poopy ones. -Mark --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
