First of all, are 'we' sure that scott is even From the ATL ? might just be a student.. Imo, what scott does is not hip hop but electronic music w/ hip hop influences or 'flavor' if you will. There's not allot of 'intelligent' let alone 'good' 'hip hop' (more like RAP) coming from the south, besides the obvious Outkasts. Anticon arn't from the west coast buddy, try midwest (mad props!) Nothing I've heard from r.devine even sounds remotely like miami bass. I think what scott does is fairly unique and could be considerd his own 'secure niche'. expect the bandwagon to follow i'm sure. Invalid/weak argument ? i think so... and to top things off i'm sure (at least i hope) that s.herren did'nt himself say that he was trying to 'rebuild' hip hop. prolly just a press bite from wap. good music is good music. enjoy.
