john hughes actually just put out the soundtrack for italian (?) film
'scarlet diva'. it sounds really interesting, a tasteful marriage
between indie rock (inspired by his days in the band 'bill
ding'--with singing, guitars, et al.) and idm ('slicker' influence,
of course--dsp clickery), in a much more delicate manner than, say,
past experiments on the tigerbeat6 label ; all while maintaining a
more-or-less low-key filmic vibe. recommended !
