my initial take on surgeon was kinda like hawtin, like, gee he does the
same thing over and over, 4/4 kicks and bleeps.... but... then you keep
listening and its like.. he does it so fucking well .. i dunno, again, like
hawtin, i cant put my finger on it, but something about his overall
technique is just amazing and if you give the tracks a few minutes they
just blow you away
really a magic worker with simple abrasive sounds in a really limited
framework
