Speak for yourself. It's interesting to me to see what plays on various
people's shows. I'll tune in once in a while to shows that do plays things
I'm curious about. Things I wouldn't have access to otherwise. Moreover, it
saves some time when you know which shows you want to try versus the
millions of radio shows / stations that now broadcast over the Internet.
And best of all, a lot of these online radio show hosts do contribute to
this list often by sending new releases lists, reviews, etc.
I don't see how this is any worse as the yearly top 10 list, or a simple
n.p. one-liner at the bottom of an email.
How hard is it to press delete when a message doesn't interest you? Do you
expect each and every message from the IDM list to be insightful and
important? I'm sure many-a-folks just delete both the playlists, and
complaints like yours.
You must just HATE getting party flyers on your car's windshield...
