It was a few months back when I asked for suggestions for harder/noisier
things along the same lines as Somatic Responses or Imminent Starvation.
I got a handful of responses and in the time since then have persued some of
them. But it's been frustrating in that they've seemed to fall for the most
part into the dreaded drum 'n' bass catagory.
Venetian Snares, Dj Scud/Aphastic/Ambush Records, I even found an Atomly 12"
out here in LA- not all bad, but still not exactly what I'm looking for.
So if anybody has any leads to non-dnb artists with a serious evil streak in
'em, I'm all ears. Is there anything out there which is like a cross between
Skinny Puppy, Speedy J, Speedranch Janskynoise and Richard Devine? Ya, I
know, sounds like a bit of a pipe dream, but thought I'd ask.
I'm also still on the hunt for all the old Richard Devine 12"s as well as
the new Surface 10 cd because from what I can tell, they might be right up
my alley.
