There's a local chap here who calls himself "Pedro The Music Man"
(originally of South American origin, but he's been a musician in
South Africa for as long as I can remember). He goes round to
schools etc. demonstrating a variety of ways of making music in a
home-made fashion.
My son came home telling me of how Pedro uses bits of rubber
garden hose as well as hardened kelp (sea weed) to blow into,
amongst other unorthodox ideas.
