HELL YEAH! i've got a few Babyland records... they were great! kind of a
crossover from the hardcore/industrial era, getting closer and closer to
where we are now. essential listening, definitely. seems like they were a
litte more angry than most of the music i listen to now, though, but less
pretentious. ;) i wish i could have seen them live...
in the same vein from back then: Titwrench, Negativland, Neubauten, Laibach,
EBN, etc... all great stuff...
if anyone's interested, they've got a bunch of music up on mp3.com...

I saw a mention of Babyland in the "Cex" thread. I
would just like to say that Babyland used to play live
here in the SF Bay Area back in (thinking to self)
like the mid 90's? I saw them at the Berkeley Square
(now defunct venue)... They rocked. They had a
Macintosh and shit like that. Do people on the IDM
know about Babyland? I thought they were pretty
obscure. Also, they came from my home town (Moraga).
They sing about Moraga on the song "Ramona Moraga".
