Geez... smear salt in my wound... =P He was supposed to play at the Ars Electronica festival night #5 this wednesday, but, alas, he didn't show up/couldn't get their in time/whatever... Then again, having To Rococo Rot play live instead of him, preceded by B. Fleischmann and followed by Jan Jelinek, ain't half bad either... ;) B. Fleischmann played a few tracks off A Choir Of Empty Beds (which I bought off him on sight after TRR's gig) and some I don't know, TRR played stuff I didn't recognize (although I only have "The Amateur View"; maybe they were playing their track off "Staedtizism", but I can't tell for sure...) and Jan Jelinek played a fine minimalistic beep/glitch/house set (including Gramm - "Farben", one of the two tracks I know from him)... Hey, there were even a few people dancing to all this (mostly to JJ's set, though), not just me... =) (Fun fact of the day: there was some, uh, "interesting" live video performance going on while all of them were performing; someone had way too much fun with alien architecture, blitter effects and a 3D engine... a friend and I nearly died laughing when, due to a crash, they had to restart their "3d system" - and the "splash screen" of their video software read "Unreal Tournament"... *grin* Well, talk about unorthodox use of gear... =P) All in all, for a night that was completely free, it was F*CKING GREAT! -- Kurt Pruenner - Haendelstrasse 17 - 4020 Linz - Austria http://www.mp3.com/Leak - http://www.ssw.uni-linz.ac.at np: --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
