i dunno about the a3000 but E-mu just converted the ESI4000 (my current
rig of choice) into the ESI2000 (exact same machine, different paintjob)
and droppd the price to US$599 ... from my experience in music gear
shopping, you can basically change the currency symbol to Pounds Sterling
and leave the numbers the same on most items, UKP 599 isn't too bad for a
high quality sampler, albeit with slightly less in the ease-of-use dept.
than a Yammy or higher end Akai/Emu...
anyway, it's well worth the money, i paid US$1200 for mine, they've
basically cut the price in 1/2.
