>Do you actually go out and dance?
I've been known to shake my tail to just about anything, except that the
simple versions of house, two-step, and speed garage leave me fairly cold,
so I have to work at it in Portland. Ever since sidling into a desk job,
though, it's a much needed work-out/shakedown.
What I'd love to see, and won't, are some of the more complex rhythms you're
occasionally allowed to play in Germany, NYC, or other larger dance cultures
where there's a little more segmentation. Unfortunately, the DJs probably
rightly don't trust that many in the crowd are willing and able to jump
around to Warp-style breaks or no-beat funk---or, hell, Freddy Fresh-ish
stylings would have me pounding the floorboards---so I'm often left jumping
around at private functions or in the relative sanctity of my apartment.
Ma nishtanah.
