I watched Ally McBeal on Digital TV last night and they had a woman doing sign language to it and I was listening to Autechre on headphones at the same time, it was well weird :)... I used a DX21 when I was 13 (1985) at school which first got me into electronic music, I was totally blown away by it, the synthesis is really 'solid' .. hard to explain, an almost glossy or even 'brassy' sound. The presets are so memorable, you just have to 'fiddle' around with it or better still learn how the synthesis actually works, I remember Jarre used a DX-7 on 'Zoolook'... 80's synths were fantastic. But the DX11 is better than the DX21 as it's the model up.
