Might intrest some of you Happened just yesterday spread out over 3 rooms... Around 250/300 turned up to watch following "performances". There was one constant line which was "chaos". Nobody knew who was playing and where but these were the highlights (and dissappointments). again: this is my personal view so very subjective. TEAM DOROBI: Fresh and daring beats twisted with clashing samples which somehow did and did not belong together. They started off doing their soundcheck and suddenly the PA switched on the sound so they just decided to go on. Process: didn't change anybody's life... Standard electro beaty pop Pita: much the same like his latest cd... quite noisy but pretty structured within that noise Speedy Ranski etc...: complete bullshit... Listened to too much Non, Throbbing Grisstle when they were 14. Dave Howell (Fatcatboss) told me they did do good shows but this one, well... VVM: Nice guy and all but the joke (or message, whatever) runs pretty thin I guess. A comedian needs more then one joke to "entertain" his audience for half an hour... I hope he likes his Eddy Wally record though:) ANTENNA FARM: one of the highlights consisting of mostly improvised stuff with daring twisted beats with a treated guitar providing the necessarry supplies. great but too early in the night GESCOM: was ok and brought pretty much what could have been expected. The only surprise came from some breakbeats leaning against jungle but without the bass then. DISKONO: didn't show up but there was one room with old recordplayers, radio's amplifiers etc.. + old records all over the place so people could dj themselves. Not really surprisingly the most effective room for new sounds and definettelly the best place to avoid all hipness around the place. MAIN: 4 Md players connected through some small mixingdesk... That's all you need to evolve a drone which was so beautifull you could hear yourself breathing through that sound... The absolute highlight it was and probably the only person who did NOT try to impress the audience... Always works though
