more stuff... yeah jmax is another one. open source code but i believe it's only running on Unix machines at present. (crazy IRCAM french 'guys') cdp is the composers desktop project. mike dred and peter green used it A LOT on virtual farmer. (check the sleeve notes) pd is Pure Data and can also be run with GEM. i'm hoping to have a decent 'hold' of supercollider sometime next year so that i can actually start releasing some material... (it's not one of those programs where you just sit down and instantly grasp every element... it's a programming language in itself) btw, college is a pain in the ass. anyone feeling the pain of finals? (digital audio....errr) oh yeah, there's cracked versions of supercollider floating around, but you should really support james mccartney. the program's only 250 bucks, and you get unlimited upgrades and 'technical' support. (i have absolutely NO regrets in purchasing this program...) james does this for the love of programming, not for the money. MAX was written by miller puckette, but MSP was written by david zicarelli. (although MSP supposedly stands for Miller S Puckette) i suppose it's important to point out that it's the person who makes the songs interesting, not the hardware / software. (although having really cool audio 'tools' at your disposal definitely doesn't hurt) Csound, Cecilia, and links to Common Music and Bol Processor 2.9.3 can be found at the MIT homepage i believe. (i'll have to confirm this... don't have the links next to me at this moment) the day microsoft went away, christian -- " there is no spoon.
