The Funkstorung/ Musik Aus Strom releases on Acid Planet are definitely not in the same style as more recent Funkstorung material but that, in no way, makes them bad. Instead they fit in with the acidic techno & electro sound that the Acid Planet label is known for. Just because you dont like the sound or style of a few releases does not mean you should discredit everything the label has released. Acid Planet may not fit in well with the "IDM Sound" but it is a well respected label for those into acidic, minimial, and electro-tinged techno. >> Ah, but it doesn't make it good either. I got into this same discussion with somebody buying records at Other Music once. I was talking about how most acid is just talentless blech. His reply was simply "it depends what you're into". I suppose that's fair. I wasn't discrediting the entire Acid Planet back catalog, but I don't like grungy Lowlands acid in general, so I stay away.
